Sometimes, when you least expect it, a wonderful opportunity arises... and it keeps giving! Before the custom workshop for the Condamine Alliance, the dates were reserved for a Write it WRITE NOW! Workshop. Not only was it during the school holidays (precious time for me to have with my children) the numbers weren't happening and I was begrudging the entire process!
When we decided the only dates possible for the Condamine Alliance gig were in January, well, it all seemed to fall into place. The three days were EXTRAORDINARY! It was fast and furious (often that describes just me!) and I genuinely applaud the children who participated. There wasn't time to bond, rather it was to get a job done. In my mind, it is exactly the approach that is needed to deal with the pest fish Tilapia - we don't have time to delay, we need to get a job done!
The support we have received afterwards was remarkable...
